I might as yet have been a spreading flower,
Ink would have seemed more black and damned here!Till now did ne'er invite nor never woo.
Here comes the takeout(demo)
Following its release for iOS systems last month, the tactical title Battleplans is soon to be available for your Android systems through Google Play. A game centred on its easy-to-grasp take on real-time strategy within an aesthetically pleasing environment, Battleplans brings the often-overlooked genre into the mainstream.

Moving away from more traditional elements such as base building and resource grinding, the title focuses on a unique tactical movement stance with a side of unit positioning. Even whilst in the midst of battle, players can control units with precision, despite the real-time aspects.

The game is split into two phases, with the first being ‘Skulls’, in which players must strive to construct strategic manoeuvres whilst playing through different heroes to master their special abilities. Enter the real-time element and the game becomes an expanse across the world, enabling full-scale wars.

Enemies must be beaten by undermining attacks and, if you find yourself unable to progress through their advances, you can always use the handy playback feature to pinpoint exactly where you went wrong and amend for future battles.

Phantom Chaser is back with its biggest update yet. There’s never been a better time to jump into this hit action RPG based on world mythologies. The update introduces some welcome gameplay updates and even a new character. Let’s see what developer FloppyGames has in store for its fans.

The latest patch introduces new character Rangda. She’s an assassin who specializes in getting up close and personal with her enemies, thanks to her high Dexterity.

It’s now easier to collect existing rare-characters in Phantom Chaser, too. You can get your hands on Blue Dragon or Phoenix simply by Crafting, which makes these rare characters a bit more accessible. As an added bonus, Phantom Chaser will start rewarding free Star Stones to players who collect targeted characters.

You might notice that battles are more challenging, but Phantom Chaser promises victorious players will reap the rewards. Monsters have been balanced for Adventure mode, too.

The game as a whole, though, has gotten easier to play. It’s now easier to develop your characters and earn rewards. Phantom Chaser has lowered stamina usage, meaning you’ll be able to spend more quality time with the game than ever before.

Try the update for yourself. You can grab Phantom Chaser on iOS or Android.

If you're one of those fortunate few that has the funds to own a HTC Vive, I'd suggest taking a look at Drunk or Dead which released on Steam yesterday.

Now stay with me, I know it doesn't look too spectacular but 4 I Lab has very cleverly taken a game we're all familiar with and tweaked it in a hilarious way. Colour me bored with the endless supply of wave shooters available for VR at the moment, but Drunk or Dead stands out from the crowd thanks to its ultra simple and a little ridiculous aim.

Get drunk - shoot the dead.

The idea is that in this post-apocalyptic nightmare you're in a bar drinking shots, as you would. Here's the catch: the more shots you drink and the drunker you get, the slower the advancing zombies are...but the harder they are to shoot. It's a typical catch 22 with more zombies.

Okay, so it's not the most moral, mechanically or graphically adventurous game but you know what? It looks fun and it's a reasonable price, so grab it on Steam now for £3.83/$4.79 (usually £4.79/$5.99).

Fleets of Heroes for iOS is a massively ambitious base builder from developer Inner Hero, set in a violent and expansive galaxy. It’s also a game that looks to mix up the genre in some really interesting ways.
"That `child' is a young man of nineteen now, Mrs. Lynde."
