1、
Yesterday, a report by The Korea Times (via Resetera) noted that PUBG Corp has filed a lawsuit against US-based Epic Games. Since Epic Games is partnered with Tencent, it's an odd one to digest, but not at all surprising given Fortnite's growing popularity.

2、Idle Magic School(no ads)
It’s hard not to be a little critical of all the upcoming streaming services vying for your monthly subscription. Back in 2012/2013, I remember PlayStation Now (or Project Gaikai as it was known at the time) sounding like it was going to revolutionise the way we play games.

Admittedly, we’re a little closer to that dream in 2019 than we were then, but now a separate problem has slowly crept up: We’ve too many options, and it’s becoming increasingly hard to tell which among them are the best. I mean, you’ve got Project xCloud, GeForce Now, Jump, the aforementioned PlayStation Now, and – of course – Google Stadia.
ICYMI: Catch up on everything from the #StadiaConnect in our three minute recap. pic.twitter.com/BE6KEqJ93q— Stadia (@GoogleStadia) August 19, 2019A recent Stadia Connect video showcases some of the upcoming games set to arrive on the platform. Putting my quibbles aside for a moment, the prospect of playing, say, Cyberpunk 2077 on mobile is an enticing one. Jakub Szamalek, Principal Writer at CD Projekt, says ‘it’s a very technologically demanding game, but with Stadia you can actually play it respectably on the power of your devices’.

There’s a fairly nice selection of games being ported over, including the long-awaited Windjammers 2, Watchdogs Legion, Mortal Kombat 11, Grid, Darksiders Genesis, Wolfenstein Youngblood, Superhot, Destroy All Humans, and Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

A Reddit AMA over on r/Stadia cleared up some of the biggest questions and concerns surrounding the platform, but Google still has an uphill battle to convince people this is a viable option for home and on-the-go gaming, especially if it wants to get anyone interested in its $10-a-month Pro Tier. You can read all the highlights of the AMA right here. For now, only the latest Google Pixel handsets will officially support Stadia, which can be played through Chrome, though that will hopefully change in time.

The Stadia Founder’s Edition costs $130 or £120, and it promises up to 60 fps, 4K resolution, HDR, and 5.1 surround sound. This is obviously very variable depending on the quality of your connection. You’ll need a 10Mbps download speed at the very least.
Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.

-
Into the Black is an upcoming VR game developed for the Oculus rift by a small team of the UK's National Film & Television Design students.

You act as a spirit guardian in the Yellowstone National Park, sent to help guide a red fox and a brown bear away from the park's chaotic forest fires and towards safety. Though a friendship between a bear and a fox is likely to end in one of them getting eaten by the other, for their survival they need to work together.

Throwing Yellowstone into chaos, the fire pushes the local inhabitants into the Druid Wolf pack's territory, but that's not all. Man ascends upon them all to take advantage of the disaster, pushing you and the animals further and further into the black.

Given the popularity Firewatch drew after its release, it's fairly easy to predict that comparisons will be made between the two games. Both are gorgeous, both are emotive, and hopefully Into the Black will stand its own ground when the comparisons are made. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the narrator (a vital component in games such as this) will be voiced by Nigel Barber (Spectre, Horizon Zero Dawn, etc.).

It's currently being developed for the Oculus Rift and is slated to release sometime next year. However for those attending EGX this year you could take a look at it ahead of time as the developers will be bringing Into the Black to the show.

For more information, check out their Facebook page here.
!

With the existence of games like This War of Mine on the market, the survival-management genre is a tough one to contend with. As of yesterday, however, Plug In Digital announced that Dead in Bermuda has officially been released on iOS and Android.

After a plane crash in (you guessed it) Bermuda, you and a team of survivors must survive on a strange island for as long as you can. Similar to others in its genre, Dead in Bermuda tests your management and survival skills as you assign tasks to each survivor, craft new items, explore the island and unravel its mysteries. Are you getting goose-bumps yet?

As well as dealing with the more common traits, Dead in Bermuda also shows promise of replayability as it boasts its randomised elements such as the map, dialog, items, etc. No two play-throughs will ever be the same.

Be aware that the game doesn't work on iPad Mini or iPhone 4.

Grab it now on the App Store for £3.99/$4.99 or on Google Play for a similar price.
