Acclaimed indie developer KO_OP has today released its latest title, Winding Worlds, exclusively for Apple Arcade. It's said to a partial continuation of the team's beloved 3D monster-themed puzzler GNOG, delivering the same wholesome sense of humour and smart puzzles that fans have come to expect.

This one takes you on a grand journey through the afterlife that spans multiple mythic worlds. The story centres around a friendly little creature named Willow, who is one day hired by a cosmic snake to help clean up his passage to the afterlife. As you continue along on your quest, you'll meet, help, and befriend a varied cast of lost souls as they attempt to find acceptance and move on from their respective planets.

"With Winding Worlds, every aspect of the game is made with accessibility in mind: from a storytelling perspective that means crafting a narrative that kids will love that adults can grasp a deeper meaning from. From a mechanics standpoint it means focusing on ease of use, with art and music that is accessible to as wide a swath of people as possible," said KO_OP co-founder, Saleem Dabbous.

"This sort of 'Pixar-approach' to content means we treat our characters and storylines with respect and lightheartedness without shying away from heavy or complex topics."

Yesterday at its IO conference, Google revealed its latest smartphone. It's called the Pixel 3a, and it's positioned as a budget version of the Pixel 3. Where the big G's flagship phone will cost you somewhere in the region of £739 for a base model, the 3a and its bigger sibling the 3a XL will cost either £399 or £469, depending which of them you go for.

The main downgrade to hit that price point looks to be the processor. Where the Pixel 3 boasts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the 3a features the Snapdragon 670. That means you're getting a 2.0 GHz + 1.7 GHz, 64-bit Octa-Core processor instead of a 2.5 Ghz + 1.6 Ghz, 64-Bit Octa-Core processor.
Black Shark 2 review - "The best gaming phone yet?"
There's no dual selfie camera either, but the phones still use Google's swanky Night Light tech that makes low-light photography not just possible on a smartphone, but actually pretty incredible.

It’s been three years since Webzen brought the hack-and-slash, fantasy world of MU to mobile with MU Origin. Now, the South Korean publisher has teamed up once again with Chinese developer Tianma to deliver its sequel, the much-anticipated MU Origin 2.

Power Rangers fans don't need to be told twice that a movie reboot is arriving in March, but they might not know a mobile game is dropping alongside it.

Via a press release, SEGA has just announced its latest foray into the world of mobile gaming, and it's called Revolve8: Episodic Duelling.

The game is said to be a real-time strategy title, and it's headed our way via producer Masayoshi Kikuchi, best known for his work on the Yakuza series. Interestingly, famed Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi is credited as Revolve8's character designer.
Whereon the thought might think sometime it saw

Tako Boy Studios' popular ghost hunting game Candies n' Curses has been updated to include a new feature that's apparently been frequently requested by players, alternative costumes for main character Molli.

There are three different outfits in total which include the Witch's Costume, Reaper's Robe and Omega Garment. Beyond that, however, there are a variety of palette swaps available for each of the outfits that are all named after different sweet treats such as Blueberry Tart and Butterscotch.

It also brings some extra completion to the game for those who like to aim for 100%. Talking to the various NPCs around the manor will give players different dialogue to the normal when sporting these outfits. Once you've heard all of the conversations available for that costume you will see a pink star next to it in the menu. Similarly, there will be a gold star next to it if you've beaten the game wearing it.

Elsewhere, the team has also squashed a number of bugs that were present in the game. For instance, Molli would occasionally end up outside the mansion walls or the bubble gum shield would become invisible when reviving.

If you're unfamiliar with Candies n' Curses, it's a fast-paced ghost hunting game where you play as a young girl called Molli who has embarked on a journey to save her friend from a haunted mansion. At the end of each level, players are offered a mixture of candies and curses which provide perks that can be both beneficial and detrimental.
