I know we've already had one bit of Pokemon GO news today, but, alas, Niantic's just revealed another tidbit. This time it's all about PokeStops and it looks like we'll shortly be able to have our say in some future places.

Over on Pokemon's blog, folks in South Korea and Brazil will soon be able to submit locations to where they think PokeStops should go. This is the first time players can actually give their two cents on the matter.

You'll have to be Level 40 to begin with and children's accounts aren't eligible, but aside from that if you think an area in your community is worth shouting about now's the time to do it. Once submitted, the location is evaluated by Niantic's player community and the highest rated might be accepted as a PokeStop or even a Gym.
Square Enix has announced two new free to play Final Fantasy RPGs for iOS and Android that will be released in Japan this winter.

The first game is titled Final Fantasy Legends: The Space-Time Crystal. It's an epic RPG in which you have to travel back in time to prevent the future from being destroyed by a god.

It's being worked on by Final Fantasy IV designer Takashi Tokita. The aim is for it to emulate the kind of experience SNES-era RPGs offered.

The other game is called Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius. Not too much is known about this one, but it is being co-developed with A-Lim, creators of social RPG Brave Frontier [download].

Early signs indicated that Brave Exvius will be a Final Fantasy adaptation of that game's design. That would involve teaming up with friends to take on dungeons in an old school-style fantasy RPG world.

Lastly, Square Enix also announced a Final Fantasy Portal app. When released, this will let fans check up on the latest Final Fantasy news.

It will reportedly also have the Final Fantasy VIII card game Triple Triad built inside of it.

By registering a Square Enix ID and playing the game, you'll be able to earn points that can be spent on digital content, apparently. You can also shared cards from the app with the Final Fantasy XIV online game.

No release dates for the two new games or the Portal app were announced. And at the moment, all of it will be exclusive to Japan.

With any luck, some time next year we'll hear about these two new Final Fantasy games heading westward.
AnimeNewsNetwork
Today should be all about spooks and creeps but there's something that's come up in the back of my mind and I think it'll be fun to see what you guys think.

Phil Tippett's incredible and somewhat disturbing stop-motion film, Mad God, releases on the Wevr Transport platform on Samsung Gear VR today. Not only is the man behind it utterly exceptional in the industry (working on Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and more), it also marks another side of VR we haven't quite come to understand yet.

Mad God is a fully practical stop-motion film set in a world of monsters, mad scientist, and war pigs. The films itself actually came to light many years ago but not in this way. Mad God was always advertised as a film that's based more around its experience rather than its narrative/story, and that's what makes it such a fantastic contender for VR.

In this grey area, where film makers are starting to explore VR's role in the industry, it's still early enough in VR's birth that there're no definite rules and plenty of uncharted territory. That's what makes this age so exciting. In terms of Mad God, the whole concept was built up around Tippett's dreams which is why things are so fractured and weird. They make you (the viewer) the size of a puppet as you're trapped in a circular theatre of utter lunacy.

As an enthusiast – but not an expert – my view is that this is a fantastic path for VR to go down. Instead of playing out stories that we can physically follow like a stalker in a bush, it's one big experience that at the end of it we remove our headsets, sit back, and reminisce on what the hell has just happened.

Be sure to check out UploadVR's in-depth article on the animation. What do you guys think? Is this the right path for VR to be headed, or is it a bit too disjointed? Let us know in the comments below.

Though Reason weep, and cry it is thy last.
As you'll all be aware of by now, Apple's most recent update iOS 10.2 went live yesterday so let's have a look at what we've been dealt.

The main thing to note is Apple's improvement on the video app. It was mentioned in their new MacBook Pro reveal and now it's available on iOS. This companion TV app means you don't have to jump in and out of applications to check out different shows and builds up a collective list of recommendations depending on what you like to watch.

The two downsides of this is that Netflix isn't supported as of yet - which is what most people use anyway - and as of yet the app is only available to those in the US.

If you're an iPhone 7/Plus user you've got a few new wallpapers to choose from, and all iOS users will be getting their hands on 100 new emojis as well as the original bunch having a bit of a polish. In terms of your camera app, the latest update means that you can 'preserve' your favourite settings so that they don't reset when the app is closed. That's pretty handy for those budding photographers.

There was a bunch of little things added and general bug fixes to go along this these bigger updates so check out the description on iTunes and run the update if you want to.

"Well, it's certainly a beautiful place, so it is likely she will find a purchaser," said Anne, absently, wondering whether she should hemstitch or feather-stitch little Jem's "short" dresses. He was to be shortened the next week, and Anne felt ready to cry at the thought of it.Update 24.03.2020
Blade & Soul: Revolution launches globally on May 14th.
